Volunteering in NEPAL .
Challenges.

Education:

-
Women in rural areas often have limited access to credit, land, and other resources necessary to start businesses and improve their economic situation.

Domestic violence:

-
Traditional gender roles and societal expectations usually limit women’s freedom and autonomy, leading to discrimination and violence. They are often subjected to domestic violence, with limited access to support or legal recourse.

Health:

-
The general immunization rates and health and nutrition standards for Nepalese women remain very poor, particularly in rural areas. They have limited access to healthcare and face higher rates of malnutrition, maternal mortality, and reproductive health issues.
-
Child marriage is still prevalent in rural areas, which can lead to early pregnancy and related health risks
-
Organization, the maternal mortality ratio in Nepal was 239 per 100,000 live births in 2017. This means that out of 10,000 women giving birth in Nepal, approximately 24 women would die due to childbirth-related complications. Early marriage, child labor, human/women trafficking, and gender-based discrimination are some of these challenges
