Challenges.

From the earthquake to present moment, it rained a lot and caused muddy and flooded tents and settlement sites.

At least 530 schools were damaged affecting the education of 100,000 children

​ Local media said hundreds of people from areas south of Marrakesh in Taroudant province and the town of Talat Nyacoub have demonstrated since January against the delayed payments and reconstruction aid during difficult winter conditions. Survivors are still living in dozens of yellow tents covered with tarpaulins for protection against the rain and mountain cold.

Who we are:​
AIJSD works in the field of youth in order to accompany young people in an active and influential participation in development and local governance.
-
It encourages the commitment and solidarity of young people in a logic of intergenerational, intercultural and multi-actors. To this end, it carries out training, advocacy, exchange and intra-national and international volunteering activities. Volunteering for AIJSD represents a reliable device for the construction of youth policies, it promotes the mobility, development and strengthening of young people's non-formal skills. AIJSD carries out volunteer exchange actions: sending, reception and supervision.

The association has a technical team composed of two full-time employees who take care of the administrative and financial management of the association as well as the follow-up of the activities and the projects. They also take care of accompaniment and tutoring of the volunteers.

Aim:​
AIJSD aims to support the economic, social and environmental development of the province of Jerada and the areas that make up the national platform of ISAAF, by dealing with the following areas:
1- Education and training in order to:

Improve the education of children and young people

Deliver education on rights and citizenship

Provide training and integration of young people

Support the involvement of young people in public life and in community life

Promoting volunteerism among young people strengthening the skills of young people and local associations

Empower the place of young people and women in local governance
2- Health in order to:

Support health care for poor families in the province of Jerada

Improve the health awareness of silicotics and their families
3- Development in order to:

Carry out projects contributing to the economic reconversion of the province of Jerada

Contribute to the integration of women in development
4- Environment in order to:

Protect environment and fight against desertification, pollution and erosion- encourage scientific research in the field of development and the fight against desertification and climate change​​​.​

Activities.
Volunteering for the earthquake victims
of the Al Haouz Province in Morocco.
​

Mobilize associations and the local population of the Province of Jerada to contribute to the psychological support of affected children victims of the Alwahz earthquake.

Promote solidarity activities in favour of child victims of the earthquake in the Alhaouz and Sous Massa region.
