Challenges.
Education:

Lack of education among school-children. Young boys are obliged to do village work. Young girls helping their mothers for housekeeping.

From 1935 to the present day, mass illiteracy prevails among female representatives of Khinalig people. Even if women finish high school, 90% of them can hardly read and write.
​
Tourism:

It is a developing field in the village and one of the main sources of income for local people. Women are not well represented in the promotion of tourism; therefore, they can be involved in hosting, catering and guiding tourists.
​
Weaving or carpet weaving:

It is one of the main occupations for women in the village. This so unique product will be promoted on Internet and sold for the tourists who visit the village and make the women money out of their unique products and make profit for them in the long-term.

Bread making:

Food scarcity is one of the challenges living in this village. Women are usually responsible for households and food. The village has its own bread, which they are proud of. The bread of the village will also be promoted on Internet to attract more tourists and sold for the tourists who visit the village and enable the women make money out of this previous bread and make profit for them in the long-term.

Hosting Organization: Common Sense Youth Organization CSYO AZERBAIJAN.

CSYO was founded by a group of young people as a non-political, non-profit, non-governmental organization in the city of Sumgait in 2006.
-
"Common Sense" Youth Organization (CSYO) has 16 years of experience working through non-formal education, concentrating on youth work, voluntarism, peace-building, social economy, active citizenship and participation.

We have more than 90 members who support and help us in our activities. Our Organization is a full member of 2 big networks in Europe: ‘’Youth Express Network’’ and ‘’Youth and Environment Europe’’.

Workshops on skills relevant to daily life activities and potentially income-generating in the field of agriculture, carpet weaving, and food processing.

Organization of visits and workshops on social entrepreneurship to encourage women.

Organization of campaigns to raise awareness about the importance of girls’ education and challenging traditional gender roles.
